One person is in police custody and another two are under police guard in Christchurch Hospital following a car chase. Three others have also been injured.

The crash on Yaldhurst Road just after 5pm forced the closure of the road between Pound and Russley Roads.
Police said the chase started after a silver BMW backed into another car, causing minor damage.
They pursued the BMW through city streets to an armed road block where it crashed into a number of police cars, before ramming its way onto Yaldhurst Road, hitting another car.
The three occupants of the other car are in Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries.
Two passengers from the BMW are in a stable condition in hospital under police guard, while the driver is in custody.
The road has since reopened.
