The chief of the New Zealand Air Force will be hosting a conference this week, which will include Air Force chiefs from Australia, Canada, Britain and the US.
The Air Chiefs' Conference is held annually and hosting is rotated among the participants.
It starts today and will run until Saturday, with sessions at several locations.
New Zealand Air Vice-Marshall Mike Yardley said holding regular meetings with his closest counterparts and New Zealand's key defence partners was important.
He said each Air Force goes about its business in its own way and the conference was a good way of sharing information.
