A former Auckland police officer has pleaded guilty to accepting bribes, illegally accessing the police computer system and supplying class A drugs.

Peter Pakau, who was based in Henderson, was remanded in custody after admitting the charges at the High Court in Auckland today.
Pakau wiped tears from his eyes and admitted 14 charges as members of his family looked on from the packed public gallery.
According to the indictment filed by the Crown prosecutor Brett Tantrum, Pakau illegally looked up information on people using the police intelligence computer.
He also tipped off a person about an upcoming police search.
Pakau has also pleaded guilty to manufacturing and supplying methamphetamine but his lawyer, Ron Mansfield, said he was disputing the amounts involved.
That will be argued at a further hearing before Pakau is sentenced next month.
Waitemata police commander Bill Searle said in a written statement that police were extremely disappointed when staff did not meet the standards expected of officers.
He declined to comment further until after sentencing.
Pakau's family also declined to comment as they left court.
