Police officer facing drug charges resigns

A west Auckland police officer charged with supplying methamphetamine has resigned, police say.

Henderson-based constable Peter Pakau was arrested last month.

He faces 27 charges, including 13 for supplying methamphetamine and its precursor and conspiring to make the drug.

Mr Pakau is on bail and is due to appear in court again on Thursday.
