Trains in the Hutt Valley have been cancelled after a person was killed by a train in Lower Hutt.
Police say they're currently at the scene at Manor Park, with fire and ambulance crews, and don't yet have further details.
The death is being referred to the coroner.
Tranz Metro says trains have been replaced by buses between Taita and Upper Hutt, and travellers should expect delays.
