Keeping whanau safe is at the very core of services run at Te Whariki Mana Wahine o Hauraki (Hauraki Women’s Refuge) based in Thames. Denise Messiter talks about what they do as a small organisation from the day to day operations, to plans for diversifying their op-shop.

Uku Rere: Nga Kaihanga Uku and Beyond opened at Te Pataka Museum in Porirua on July 14th 2013. Justine Murray has a chat with founding members of Nga Kaihanga Uku (The Māori clay workers collective) Manos Nathan; Wi Taepa and Colleen Urlich to discuss how the group was formed twenty five years ago.

In an archival segment,  Nga Tāonga Korero from 1977 Whai Ngata interviews renowned weaver Emily Schuster (c.1927 – 1997) about her work teaching raranga (weaving) in various communities across Aotearoa.
