References to Colin McCahon's paintings and the Rocky Horror Picture Show can be seen in an exhibition of work by a visiting Sydney artist - Nell - who is a bundle of contradictions. She is a Buddhist who's also an AC/DC fangirl, and one equally comfortable using crucifix and emoji images in her work.
Nell's putting on her first New Zealand solo show WORDS + CROSSES in Hamilton - she's here as a guest speaker at the Spark International Festival of Music, Media, Arts & Design organised by Wintec's School of Media Arts. Nell will be speaking at her exhibition at Ramp Gallery in Hamilton on Tuesday.
