The figures were uncovered by journalist Chloe Ranford who is one of 8 reporters in regional newsrooms for the Local Democracy Reporting Service. She's based in Marlborough and tells Karyn what she found out.

Climate Karanga Marlborough member Budyong Hill says it's good that councils are cutting down on single-use plastic cups.
