Under the new traffic light system, or Covid-19 protection framework, the region is now in the red setting.

That coincides with yesterday's International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.

1:40 A city farm with charm in Ponsonby

For those living in central Auckland, it might be hard to imagine a farm in the midst of the city.

But, as Jesse just learned this week, an urban community farm is tucked away in the suburb of Ponsonby. 

Andy Boor is the general manager of Kelmarna Gardens and he gave Jesse a tour of the farm this morning.

3:35 Critter of the Week Chatham Islands' stag beetle

Swept by Southern Ocean storms and isolated for 1.75 million years, the Chatham Islands are a treasure trove of flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world.

This week’s critter is the Chatham Islands’ stag beetle.

There are only two species of stag beetle surviving on the Chathams and both are endangered, living in fragmented habitats and vulnerable to predation.
