1:17 Cautious welcome for new drug for Alzheimer's patients

A new dementia drug which  has the potential to slow down mental and function decline in Alzheimers patients has been given the sign off in the U.S by the FDA.

The drug, Aducanumab, is still in its early stages of proving its efficacy but it's approval in the US has been cautiously welcome by Alzheimer's New Zealand.

1:35 Tom Sainsbury on tour later this year

Comedian and Snapchat satirist Tom Sainsbury has just announced a nationwide tour, taking place this October and November.

Tom is well known for his impersonations of politicians, and his caricatures of quirky New Zealanders.

The tour is called Snapchat Dude Live! Tom talks to Jesse about he's going to be showcasing around the country.

In a tiny museum, on a side street in Tokyo, best selling author Malcolm Gladwell came across a story he could not let go of. It's the story of the US Air Force firebombing the city during the Second World War, killing 40,000 people in one night.  It's also the story of how new technology and innovations often come with unintended consequences and moral dilemmas we are rarely prepared for. His latest book is called, "The Bomber Mafia: A Dream, A Temptation, and the Longest Night of the Second World War.

3:30 Spoken Feature: Denmark's shock Euros win

In June 1992, Denmark’s top footballers were relaxing on the beach when they received an urgent call to take part in the Euro 92 tournament. The Danes had failed to qualify for the championship, but were now needed as replacements for Yugoslavia, a country that no longer existed because it had descended into civil war. In a surprise to everyone, including themselves, Denmark then went on to win the tournament, defeating Holland and West Germany on the way. Will Yates talks to midfielder John Jensen, who scored one of the Danish goals in the final.
