A bike rally is planned for this Sunday in Auckland as frustrations grow over lack of action in putting a cycle lane on the Harbour Bridge.

Meanwhile, cyclists in Wellington are overjoyed after the council did a U-turn and voted for what's being described as a "bells and whistles" cycleway plan for their city.
