A community charity group is fighting plans by a religious trust to sell off St David's Church in central Auckland.

Also known as the Soldier's Memorial Church on Khyber Pass it was paid for and built as a living memorial to the lives lost in WW1.

The Friends of St David's are pleading with the Presbyterian Trust to withdraw the block from sale so it can be repurposed. Paul Baragwanath is the Chair of the Friends of St David's Trust, and explains the situation to Jesse.

'Pop-Its' are new fidget toys that are becoming increasingly popular in the nation's primary schools. The moulded silicone toy mimics the sensation of popping bubble wrap, and they've been labelled 'the new craze'. One of our listener's, Kahukura, got in touch to point out that fidget toys were initially created for neurodivergent people like herself, and they're not a 'craze' to them but rather a great tool. You can also follow her facebook page, More than One Neurotype.
