Homelessness has come to the forefront of public awareness lately, particularly the stories of families living in their cars and people who just have no where to go.
But it's not something that's new, especially on the streets on Auckland. John Crawford is a photographer who has been wandering downtown, meeting those surviving on the streets and taking their pictures.
His photos are about to be displayed at the Gow Langsford Gallery, with all donations set to be given to the city mission.

Sometimes after a few drinks we're not always capable of making the best choices...I should have eaten something...I should have drunk more water...I should have left before the shots started...I should have...I should have...and most of us will have suffered the consequences of our questionable choices the next day.
A chat bot called Sober Self may have the answer. It can be set before you leave for a night out to remind you later to drink water, eat food or indeed GO HOME!
We speak to Matt Claridge the Executive Director of Cheers!, a responsible drinking campaign.
1:35 Ulysses and Divorce
Ulysses by James Joyce Photo: Wikimedia Commons
You may remember last week when we were in Dunedin we were talking about recipes in books. Jesse thought perhaps there were recipes in the classic Ulysses by James Joyce.
Otago University Professor Peter Kuch emailed in to say the answer was yes and no.
So we gave Peter a call and it turns out he is rather an expert in Ulysses, in fact he's somewhat changed the way it is read, through his book which investigates how Joyce's novel relates to Irish divorce.
