1:15 Saturated Fats and Heart Disease

A group of international scientists has slammed the belief that saturated fats clog up the arteries, causing coronary heart disease.

In an editorial published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, the authors argue the disease is instead caused by chronic inflammation. And the best form of prevention and treatment are 'real' food and a brisk 22 minute daily walk.

Dr Rita Redberg is a cardiologist specialising in heart disease in women, from the University of California, and she's one of the authors of the editorial.

And she's researching the impact of the honey industry on indigenous biodiversity, in the hope to manage hives on public land more effectively.
