1:20 FBI art detective on the Parnell Art Heist

Police are due to release a description of people they are seeking in relation to a major art heist over the weekend. They believe three people were involved in the ram raid theft, of two Gottfried Lindauer paintings from the International Art Centre in Parnell. Thieves backed a stolen vehicle into the gallery just before 4am on Saturday, and snatched the 1884 paintings 'Chieftainess Ngatai-Raure' and 'Chief Ngatai-Raure'.

Robert Wittman, is the founder of the FBI's Art Crime Team, and in the past he's been dubbed "the most famous art detective in the world". Robert talks with Jesse from Chester Heights, Pennsylvania.

Kiwi poet, wordsmith and legend, Bill Manhire has been looking at the mystery of the riddle. He's translated Old English riddles, put them to song, and they are being performed this week, as part of the Festival of Colour. The settings range from meditative ballad to joyful stomp. Paul Robeson was a the son of a slave who rose to great heights as an actor and singer in the 30's and 40's. His velvety bass voice earned him roles in films and the musical Show Boat. Off stage he used the power of his celebrity to fight against social injustice. He was deeply committed to socialism.

Melbourne writer and academic travelled the world to research the life of Paul Robeson and discover the roots of his political and spiritual formation. He talks to Jesse about his book No Way But This: In Search of Paul Robeson.

Paul Robeson visited both New Zealand and Australia to speak to workers. The video below is him speaking to construction workers building the Sydney Opera House in 1960
