He's been described as a modern day minstrel and bluesman.

Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton is is known for capturing the spirit of a bygone era, transporting his audiences back to the 1920's - including ragtime, hokum, old time, French reels, Appalachian mountain music and of course, blues. He began playing the fiddle when he was twelve, and went on to pick up the banjo two years later. Since then he has added the piano, harmonica, Cajun Accordian, ukulele, Guitar and others.

While his family is from Louisiana, he grew up in South Central LA, and lost his sight due to disease by the time he was 17.
