2:10 New Zealand Bomber Command veterans recognised - Bruce Cunningham
New Zealand bomber crew members who served in World War Two had their efforts formally recognised this morning, at a commemorative service at Wellington's National War Memorial and lunch with the Prime Minister.
Today's ceremony is for many of the veterans who were unable to attend the June dedication and unveiling of a Bomber Command Memorial in London, the first memorial to the 55 thousand airmen who died. 1,851 RNZAF servicemen lost their lives.

Drivers around the South Island might think they've entered a time warp over the last ten days. 120 vintage trucks from the 1930s to the 1990s have been cruising around the South Island in the third annual Inter-Island Classic Truck Run.
Drivers in everything from a 1952 Leyland Comet to a Classic Bedford truck started in Picton.. ventured south via the West Coast, Central Otago and Southland, and will finish in Timaru tonight.
