Christchurch has lost a multitude of big events, but organisers of the Christchurch Arts Festival are determined to make sure their events go ahead in August. Festival director Philip Tremewan says the event is needed more than ever now, after so many events have been cancelled, and the city now faces a long and difficult winter.

Fabrizia Pons is one of the most famous female rally drivers in the world, and one of only two people in the history of the sport to have achieved world championship racing points both as a driver and as a co-driver. She's in Dunedin for the Classic Rally of Otago which kicks off at the end of the week.
