Papua New Guinea's women's cricket team has fallen short of qualifying for this year's Twenty20 World Cup.
The Lewas faced a must-win match against the United States on Monday - batting first, PNG set 110 for 5, with the US reaching the target with five wickets in hand.
Their one win at the qualifying tournament came on Saturday, playing Namibia.
The African side scored 122 for 5 off their 20 overs, and PNG reached the target with three wickets in hand.
The top three teams in each group progress to the next stage at the qualifier, but with one win in four matches, PNG finished fourth in group A.
Bangladesh, Ireland and the US progress from their group.
In group B, The Netherlands, Scotland and Thailand progress to the next round.
These six teams will face each other in a round-robin format to earn a top-four position and World Cup qualification.
The Women's T20 World Cup will be held in England and Wales in June and early July.
Meanwhile, the Men's T20 World Cup kicks off next month.
