The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation in the Northern Marianas is asking its customers to conserve water as it is experiencing a drop in its water supply sources on Saipan.

One such source, Donni Spring, which usually supplies water at 350 gallons per minute, is down to just 50 gallons per minute, according to the utilities company.

This comes days after the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency issued notice of a worsening drought conditions over the next few months.

Last week, the National Weather Service in Guam also forecast the likelihood of drought affecting the CNMI over the next three months.
