It is aimed at further preparing personnel for the 2018 APEC summit.

The PNG police commissioner, Gari Baki, told the delegates that no one these days was immune from the threat posed by terrorism.

The five day workshop is an initiative of the PNG - Australia Policing Partnership and is being attended by members of the APEC Joint Security Task Force.

They will have a chance to network and learn from counter-terrorism experts from Australia and the United States.
