Hawaii's Coast Guard has removed a ship wrecked on a reef off Kaimana Beach.
The fishing vessel the Pacific Paradise grounded just before midnight on October the 10th and caught fire during an earlier salvage operation.
The chair of the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Suzanne Case, said she was grateful to everyone involved for removing the vessel from the reef with the least amount of impact to the marine environment.
The ship was towed out to an approved disposal site in federal waters south of Oahu and sunk in 500 meters of water on Thursday.
The Coast Guard said there was minimal pollution during the operation to refloat and remove the grounded vessel.
