The Fiji women's sevens team have secured their highest ever finish on the World Series.
The Fijiana finished fifth in the final round of the season in Clermont-Ferrand to leapfrog Russia into fourth place overall on the final standings.
Fiji were well-beaten in their opening pool matches against the host nation France and Olympic champions Australia on day one but thrashed Spain 45-7 to scrape into the Cup quarter finals.

They were no match for series winners New Zealand, thumped 31-7, but overwhelmed nearest rivals Russia, 24-7 in the fifth place semi final, and the United States, 24-19 in the final.
Fiji finished tied with Russia on 66 points for the season,but prevailed on a tie-breaker to earn their first ever top four finish.
The Fijiana also sealed their berth at next year' s Sevens World Cup in San Francisco, while Raijieli Daveua was named Rookie of the Year.
