The Health Department is advising people to take precautions against the mosquito borne disease including destroying breeding places and using repellents.
It says people must report to the hospital if they experience any symptoms like fever, body pains, rash or bleeding gums.
The authorities say as dengue fever is a notfiable disease it's an offence not to report cases to the authorities.
They have started spraying villages around the island to prevent dengue spreading.
