France is about to replace its High Commissioner in French Polynesia.
Lionel Beffre is to end his posting to Papeete at the end of the month to become the prefect of Isere in France.
On arrival in September 2013, he said his priority was to help right the economy and encourage growth.
Mr Beffre is to be replaced by Rene Bidal who is the prefect of Eure.
