Saxophonist, flutist, composer and keyboardist Hervé Bourde moved from a classical training with Jean-Pierre Rampal to then write and perform music for theatre and dance, film, television and radio. In today's concert from the 2010 Radio France and Montpellier Festival, Bourde plays saxophones alongside Charles Schneider, with bass player Harry Swift and drummer Jean-Claude Montredon (recorded at the Théâtre de l'Agora, Montpellier by Radio France)

Čači Vorba means 'true speech' in Romani - it's a term used by gypsies to describe their music. The band is based in Poland and plays a mix of Romanian and Bulgarian gypsy music. Szczera Mowa is their debut album, winning a German Record Critics' Award in 2011 (Oriente Musik RIEN CD75)

Trinity Roots created a large and loyal fan base with hypnotic live performances of evocative rhythms and harmonies steeped in a lineage of soul, reggae and roots sounds that transcended the boundaries defined by genres. They split in 2005, but reformed for a limited number of concerts including this one-off Womad show (RNZ)
