There have been protests throughout the Pakistan province of Punjab over power cuts which last up to 18 hours per day.
Technical problems in several electricity plants made the situation worse during the weekend.
The BBC reports power cuts in Pakistan are frequent but there has been virtually no electricity in Punjab over the past two days. Virtually all industry is at a halt.
