The death toll in the crash of a vintage World War II fighter plane in the United States on Friday has risen to nine.
Police in Reno, Nevada, say that in addition to two people who died of their injuries in hospital, seven died at the scene.
Pilot Jimmy Leeward, 74, was among those killed when his P-51 Mustang crashed into a box seat area in front of the main grandstand. He had raced at the event since 1975.
More than 50 people were injured. Eight are still in a serious condition.
Its the first time since the competition began in Reno nearly 50 years ago that spectators have been killed.
The Reno Air Racing Association said the plane was a lap or two into the race when the pilot called in a mayday.
Vintage plane crash in West Virginia
Another vintage military plane crashed at an air show in West Virginia on Saturday.
A World War II-era plane went down, killing the pilot.
The ABC reports there were no other casualties.
