Police in Britain have charged a man and a teenager with the murder of three men in Birmingham during last week's unrest.

A 17-year-old male and Joshua Donald, 26, have been charged with three counts of murder each reports the BBC.

The pair are due to appear before Birmingham magistrates on Sunday.

The three men were killed when they were hit by a car while trying to protect shops from looters on Wednesday.

Police say a 16-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder had been bailed pending further inquiries.

Two other men aged 23 and 27 who were arrested on Friday remain in police custody.

Altogether, more than 2000 people have been arrested in connection with the four days of looting and rioting.
