An Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip has killed at least three Palestinians.
The Israeli army says the target was a car carrying Hamas militants who it claimed were planning to kidnap Israelis during the Passover religious holidays.
The BBC reports that Hamas has confirmed those killed were members of the group but refused to comment on the alleged kidnap plot.
