Fred Crane, the actor who wooed Scarlett O'Hara in the 1939 classic Gone with the Wind, has died aged 90.
Crane had been in hospital for a few weeks because of complications related to diabetes.
Fred Crane was just 20-years-old when cast as Brent Tarleton in Gone with the Wind, which starred Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh and was directed by David O Selznick.
Although Crane hadn't even read Margaret Mitchell's bestselling novel on which the film was based, he later said: "It was a matter of being in the right place at the right time."
