Nine South African policemen have appeared in court for a bail hearing in connection with the death of a Mozambican taxi driver.
Mido Macia, 27, was handcuffed to a police van and dragged through the streets in Daveyton, near Johannesburg on 26 February.
All nine officers have pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
The BBC reports that mobile phone footage of the incident, broadcast on national television, provoked outrage across South Africa.
The video, apparently recorded by a bystander on a mobile phone, shows a large crowd watching as uniformed policemen tie him to the van, dragging him as they drive away.
