The British heavyweight Dereck Chisora has been banned indefinitely by the World Boxing Council.

Chisora, who was beaten by WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in Munich earlier this month, was involved in a post-match brawl with fellow British fighter David Haye, who he threatened to shoot.

The WBC has described Chisora's behaviour as among the worst ever by a professional boxer.

It says Chisora will also be fined, the amount of which is yet to be determined.

He will also have to undertake an anger management course, before it considers reinstating him.
