7:12 am on 3 April 2011

The New Zealand rugby sevens side will face Argentina in the quarter-finals at the Adelaide IRB tournament after wrapping up pool play with a 34-14 win over Kenya.

Samoa play Australia in the last eight, Fiji are up against South Africa and England play Wales.

New Zealand skipper DJ Forbes scored twice and Tim Mikkelson, Tomasi Cama, Toby Arnold and Frank Halai once each in the six tries to two win over the Kenyans.

Earlier New Zealand beat the Cook Islands 40-7, running in six tries to one, after Gordon Tietjens' men opened their campaign with a 36-10 win over Wales.

New Zealand are on top of the standings after winning in Hong Kong and coach Tietjens says if they're to kick on and win the series again they need the 30 points on offer in South Australia.

With three rounds remaining in the series New Zealand has 110 points, five clear of England with Fiji and Samoa third on 84.
