Two medals at world cycling champs

New Zealand's on the medal table UCI Track Cycling World Championships in the Netherlands with silver to Jesse Sergent in the individual pursuit and bronze to the women's team pursuit.

Sergent again finished behind rising Australian star Jack Bobridge in a repeat of their final at the Delhi Commonwealth Games, while the trio of Alison Shanks, Jaime Nielsen and Kaytee Boyd beat Australia in a tight race.

They were a second faster than the Americans rode in getting a silver in the final, won by Great Britain.

Both Eddie Dawkins and Sam Webster qualified in the men's sprint. Webster, the triple junior world champion in 2009, was 12th fastest in 10.344 and Dawkins 17th fastest in 10.391.
