The Aucklander Jeremy Burfoot has set a jetski world record for distance covered in a day.
Burfoot travelled 2,287 km during his 24 hour record-breaking achievement on Lake Karapiro, surpassing the previous mark set in 2009 by more than 500km.
The record is yet to be ratified by Guinness World Records.
