Sydney FC's A-League football season is all but over after the defending champions suffered a 1-nil loss to league newcomers Melbourne Heart at the Sydney Football Stadium last night.
Sydney, second-last on the table and only ahead of North Queensland on goal difference, held out the lively Heart for nearly the entire contest until the visitors scored with 4 minutes remaining.
The result moves the Heart up to 5th.
The 8th placed Wellington Phoenix play North Queensland on Monday night.
