The New Zealand motor racing driver Jason Richards has confirmed he has cancer.
Richards, had surgery to remove a tumour from his abdomen last week and is expected to leave hospital in Melbourne by the end of the week.
After he's fully recovered from surgery he'll then begin chemotherapy.
Richards was diagnosed with a tumour last month and missed the final two races of the V8 Supercar season.
