Off the pitch the Liverpool football club may have solved their problems but on the pitch they're far from over.
In front of their new owner John Henry the Reds lost 2-0 to their neighbours and rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
Goals in each half from Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta sealed the points for Everton, who moved up to 11th in the Premier League standings as Liverpool slipped to second from bottom with just one win from eight matches.
Their supporters, ever-eager for a victory over their old rivals, wanted this win even more after last week's legal drama which culminated in the club's takeover, but Stephen Gerrard and his team couldn't oblige.
The defeat means Roy Hodgson's side have taken only six points from eight games this year, a grim indicator of the size of the rebuilding task facing Henry and his New England Sports Ventures group.
Hodgson was philosophical about the loss but admits he's under pressure - though he says anytime a team like Liverpool lose two in a row there's pressure. The Reds lost 2-1 at home to Blackpool in the previous Premier League fixture, following a 2-2 home draw with Sunderland.
In the morning's other match, Manchester City slashed Chelsea's lead at the top of the table to just two points after two goals from skipper Carlos Tevez secured a 3-2 victory at Blackpool.
