The New Zealand cyclists have finished outside of the medals in the men's 40-kilometre time trial at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Jack Bauer was the best of the New Zealanders with a time of 50 minutes and 48.51 seconds, a little more than three seconds behind the gold medallist, David Millar of Scotland.

The silver medallist in the individual and team pursuits, Jesse Sergent, was one place back in ninth, finishing in 51 minutes and 34.01 seconds, while a tired Gordon McCauley finished 13th in the field.
