Rugby laws previously allowed only women to wear tights and leggings but concerns about cuts from artificial turfs have led to the rule change.
Coles who this afternoon left for the US to join up with the All Black squad for their northern hemisphere tour can't see the All Black forwards embracing tights.

When asked who he thought which players he thought might wear leggings in a game he had a few ideas.
"You could probably pick on one hand (who would wear them). Either Beaudy ...oh maybe not Beaudy. Reiko - but it will definitely be a back.
"The frontrowers club will have a meeting about it and there will no frontrower wearing leggings in the All Blacks that's for sure."
