Glenn Phillips belted New Zealand's fastest T20 century in setting up the Black Caps for a comprehensive 72-run win in their second match against the West Indies at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui today.

The Windies opted to bowl after winning the toss and snared two quick wickets in five balls to halt the Black Caps' early momentum after six overs.
But a 184-run third-wicket partnership between Phillips and Devon Conway put the New Zealanders back in control as they scorched to an imposing 238 for three.
Phillips belted his maiden T20 century off 46 balls, the fastest in Black Caps history. He made 108 runs off 51 balls before he was caught on the second to last ball of the New Zealand innings.
His tally included 10 boundaries and eight sixes, and he was well backed-up by Conway, who made 65 off 37 balls in just his second T20 for the Black Caps.
The West Indies managed to bat out their overs, reaching 166 for nine but struggled right from the outset to match New Zealand's pace.
They lost Brandon King in the second over without scoring, then Andre Fletcher was run out for 20 from a direct hit by Phillips in the fourth over.
Wickets fell regularly, Phillips again involved in the ninth over when he took a diving catch off Jimmy Neesham to dismiss Kyle Mayers.
All six New Zealand bowlers picked up wickets, Kyle Jamieson proving problematic with 2-15 off his four overs, while Mitch Santner grabbed 2-41 off three.
