There've been wins to Waikato, Counties Manukau and Southland in their first round matches in rugby's provincial championship.
Waikato beat Bay of Plenty 13-10 in Hamilton in the late game after leading 10-3 at half-time, with each side scoring one try.
Earlier there were bonus point wins to Counties Manukau over Otago and Southland over Manawatu.
The former All Black captain Tana Umaga helped spark the Steelers to score four tries to one in an upset 29-13 win at Pukekohe.
And Southland warmed up for next Saturday's Ranfurly Shield challenge from Otago with a 37-23 win in Palmerston North, scoring five tries to three.
