Despite rain washing out the first two days, the Test is well advanced and the New Zealand players will fancy their chances of getting a result tomorrow.

New Zealand had Bangladesh 80/3 at stumps, with the visitors still 141 in arrears.

Taylor surpassed Martin Crowe's Test century record, bringing up his 18th 100, one more than his mentor.

Taylor is still two behind the New Zealand record, which belongs to captain Kane Williamson who has 20 to his name.

Williamson was dismissed earlier in the innings for 74 and was taken to hospital shortly after to have scans on his shoulder, which he injured while fielding yesterday.

Williamson didn't return to the field and will have an MRI scan tomorrow morning.

Before Taylor brought up his 200, Henry Nicholls scored his fifth Test century, but was dismissed seven runs later.

Taylor was dismissed just a few balls after reaching his double century.

Shortly after BJ Watling was dismissed and New Zealand declared on 432/6 - setting Bangladesh 221 to force the Black Caps to bat again.

Just two balls into their second innings, Tamim Iqbal was bowled by Trent Boult for four runs.

Boult claimed a second wicket, and Matt Henry chimed in with another in a productive session pre stumps for the Black Caps.
