The most successful combination in tennis history are returning to the ASB Tennis Classic in Auckland.

The 40 year American identical twins, Mike and Bob Bryan have won 114 ATP double titles in 20 years on the tour and held the world number one doubles ranking for a staggering 438 weeks.

They've won 16 Grand Slam titles together and also Olympic gold in London in 2012.

This season, a hip injury side lined Bob as the brothers were preparing for the French Open.

Mike paired up with fellow American Jack Sock to win Wimbledon, the U.S Open and the Nitto ATP Finals.

Now, Mike holds the number one doubles ranking on his own.

"We've got a bit of a point to prove (in Auckland). We we've won 114 titles together but are yet to get the W in Auckland. We've got to change that," he said.
