Breakers coach fined again

The Australian national basketball league have doubled down on their punishment for Breakers coach Kevin Braswell's latest outburst against referees.

Braswell has copped a $1000 fine after a tirade against unjust officiating following last Friday's loss to the Perth Wildcats in Auckland.

The sanction comes a week after he was hit with a $500 for the same offence, albeit on a lesser scale, following the Breakers' loss to Melbourne United in Invercargill.

Braswell was infuriated by the continual lop-sided foul count against his team, hitting its nadir when five Breakers players fouled out against Perth.

The fallout from that game will continue next week when forward Tai Wesley faces a disciplinary tribunal for comments made to a referee during the closing stages of that game.
