The New Zealand motor racing driver Scott Dixon admits he's probably due for another win at the Indianapolis 500, but concedes a driver needs a fair bit of luck on their side to claim America's greatest race.

Dixon will start ninth on the grid for Monday morning's race.
It's 10 years since his one and only victory at the venue known as "The Brickyard".
Dixon has been close a few times since his win in 2008, but admits there needs to be a lot going right to come out on top.
"Two of the three times we definitely had the race almost won and something small can take it away from you just as quick so those moments are frustrating, the place owes me nothing and you have to fight hard and do your best."
"To try and get everything right in that period of three or four hours definitely seems to be impossible sometimes, we finished second here three or fours times which is probably the worst place you could finish in the Indianapolis 500 but the desire is always there, I think after your first win the desire is greater trying to capture your second."

Dixon has been a bit off the pace in the Indycar series this year and is without a win, although he is fourth in the standings.
"I'm feeling confident, we've done pretty much all we can in preparation, you've just got to hope that it's enough, the number nine car is strong, so we'll just keep our head down and see what happens."
Hometown favourite Ed Carpenter is on pole being the only driver to top 230 miles per hour in qualifying.
Reigning champion Takuma Sato of Japan will start on the sixth row of the grid.
