New Zealand's rugby community will honour to legend Sir Colin Meads by observing moments of silence around the country this weekend.
Those taking part in the moments silence include the All Blacks and Australia at Saturday's Bledisloe Cup test in Dunedin.
A further tribute would be paid by lock Sam Whitelock, who shared the number 5 jersey with Sir Colin.
Whitelock would gift his playing jersey to the Meads family.
All Mitre 10 Cup and Mitre 10 Heartland Championship matches this weekend would also observe a moment's silence, and some teams would also be acknowledging Sir Colin in their own way.
The Black Ferns, who were currently playing in the Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland, wore black armbands in recognition of Sir Colin during their semi-final victory over the USA on Wednesday.
NZR chief executive Steve Tew said there had been an amazing outpouring of love and gratitude for the contribution that Sir Colin made both to rugby and to the community.
"It has been heartening to see so many people share their memories and stories, including rugby friends from all over the world who have sent their acknowledgements."
"It's an appropriate mark of the status of the man that all provincial championship games up and down the country will pause this weekend to honour Sir Colin's memory," he said.
"It's only fitting to pause and reflect on the true giant he was and recognise his contribution to both rugby and the country."
