Adams snares double-double in Thunder win

New Zealand basketballer Steven Adams has helped the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 113-96 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers with a double-double.

Adams made 14 points and collected 12 rebounds.

His Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook had a triple-double with 33 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds.

Today's efforts helped Westbrook become the first player in NBA history to record 100 points, 30 rebounds and 30 assists in the first three games of the season.

Adams and Westbrook were helped along by Thunder guard Victor Oladipo who made 20 points, while Enes Kanter made 16 points.

Lakers forward Julius randle was the pick of his team with 20 points and nine rebounds while guard D'Angelo Russell also made 20 points.

The win keeps the Thunder in second spot on the Western Conference ladder, they're perfect from their three starts while the San Antonio Spurs have won all four of their opening games.
