Lee storms into contention in Rio

Rio 2016 Olympics - The New Zealand golfer Danny Lee stormed up the leader board in the second round of the Olympic golf tournament in Rio.

Lee has enjoyed the round of the day posting a six under par 65 to move up 28 places into a tie for sixth, four shots off the lead held by Australia Marcus Fraser at ten under par.

Lee's round included eight birdies, half of which last four holes. He narrowly missed an eagle on the 18th.

Fellow New Zealander Ryan Fox had a two over par 73 to be one over for the tournament and sits midway in the field, tied for 33rd.

The tournament is played over four rounds with no cut made.
